Getting Started
Welcome to F1 — a fast, focused project management workspace built for teams who want to ship, not shuffle tickets.
Welcome to F1
F1 brings tasks, teams, and progress together in one workspace. You get kanban-style task management, milestones, time tracking, file attachments, and real-time collaboration — without the overhead of tools that require a degree to configure.
Everything in F1 is organized around three concepts:
- Organizations — your company or team workspace. All members, projects, and billing live here.
- Projects — containers for a body of work. A project can represent a product, a client, a sprint, or anything else.
- Tasks — the individual units of work inside a project. Tasks have statuses, priorities, due dates, assignees, and more.
1. Create an organization
When you first sign up, you'll be taken to the onboarding flow. You can also reach it any time at /onboarding.
- Enter your organization name — this is what your teammates will see.
- Pick a URL slug for your workspace (e.g.
acme). - Click Create organization.
You're automatically assigned the owner role, which gives you full control over billing, members, and settings.
2. Create your first project
From the dashboard, click the New project card (or the + button in the sidebar).
- Give your project a name and optional description.
- Choose a template (Software, Marketing, Design, etc.) or start with a blank project.
- Click Create project. You'll be taken straight into the project view.
Templates pre-populate a set of tasks to give you a head start. You can delete or edit any of them.
3. Add tasks
Inside a project, click Add task or press N to open the new-task form.
Each task supports:
- Status — todo, in progress, or done
- Priority — urgent, high, medium, low, or none
- Due date — overdue tasks are highlighted automatically
- Assignee — any member of the organization
- Labels — colored tags for filtering
Click any task to open its detail view where you can write a description, leave comments, upload files, log time, and set dependencies.
4. Invite your team
Go to Settings → Team. Enter a teammate's email address, choose their role, and click Send invite.
They'll receive an email with a link to accept. Once they accept, they appear in your member list and can access all projects in your organization.
Roles control what each person can do. The four roles are owner, admin, member, and viewer. See the Team & Permissions guide for a full breakdown.
